1871 2 Dec. Stone china painter, Whipping Cat Hill, the son of William Scott (deceased) a mason, she married Frederick Greenland a porter of Batch, the son of Alfred Greenland, deceased, a sack runner (HTPR).

1902 5 Sep. ‘Liver and white spaniel dog, good pedigree; same breed 32 years. E. Scourse, St Silas Pottery, St Philips’ (Western Daily Press).

There is no other reference to E. Scourse being a potter but it is possible he took over the St Silas Pottery from the Hickery family.

SEALEY Charles

1873 26 Apr. ‘A boy named Charles Sealey, employed at Price’s Pottery, overbalanced himself while sliding down some rails leading from a loft, and falling on the ground sustained concussion of the brain’ (Western Daily Press).
