FRANK John

See the Potteries section for the Redcliff Back Pottery 1.

He took over the Redcliff Back Pottery 1 from James Margerum.  However, ‘John Franks’ may be a mistake for Thomas Frank I, as the latter was exporting earthenware from at least 1705.

c1707-08 ‘John Franks’ probably ran the Redcliff Back Pottery 1.

By 1709 Thomas Frank I was paying rates on the Pottery.

1707 ‘John Franks p. pothouse’ (SMR-PR).
1707-08 ‘John Franks pr. Potthouse’ (SMR-L).
