1865 28 Feb. He married Helen Bentley Lowrey in Bristol (Ancestry website).
1871 Commercial clerk in stoneware manufactory, 9 Clifton Wood Crescent, Clifton (31), living with his wife Helen (34), born in Bristol, and children Edward (5), born in Bedmisnter, Helen (2) and Jane (2 mths), both born in Clifton (71C).
1875 1 Jun. ‘Lost on 20 May, a black Newfoundland dog. Answers to the name of Leo. Anyone bringing him to Mr Harris, at Temple Gate Pottery will be rewarded’ (Western Daily Press).
1881 Commercial clerk, 3 Hampton Terrace, Westbury-on-Trym (41), living with his wife Helen (45) and children including Ada (8) and Alfred (4), both born in Bristol, and Maria Dinsdale (15), general servant (81C).

1901 Manager of pottery, widower, 14 Leopold Road, St Andrew’s (62) (01C).
1911 Pottery manager retired, 14 Leopold Road, St Andrew’s (71) (11C).
1921 26 Jun. He died at 14 Leopold Road, St Andrew’s Park (Ancestry website).

The son of Thomas Harris of Tenbury, Worcestershire, tanner (A).

1733 16 Jun. He was apprenticed to John and Hester Weaver, £10 paid with the apprentice. Friends to find apparel (A, Ao, Ar).
1736 8 Jan. His apprenticeship was transferred to Charles and Mary Christopher (A).
1742 6 May. A potter of Bristol, he was bondsman for John Harvey, scribbler, of Bradford, Wiltshire (Adm.).
1781 20 Feb. He became a free potter (F, G).

1841 25 Oct. Bishop Street, Bedminster, the son of John Harris, a maltster, he married Georgiana Elizabeth Clark of Bishop Street, the daughter of James Clark, a glass blower (JBPR).
1842 16 Oct. Great George Street, St Philip’s parish (PPR).
1845 15 Jun. Temple parish (TPR).
1861 Temple Backs, Temple parish (40) living with his wife Georgiana (48) born in Bristol and daughter Harriet (16) (61C).
1864 8 Feb. Noted as a potter when his daughter Harriet (19) of 4 Georges Alley married William Wright (RPR).

HARRISON Alexander

Rate book entries:
29 Sep 1738-25 Mar 1739 ‘Alexr Harrison Pothouse void’ Cow and Limekiln Lane (St Augustine’s-L)

He was paying rates for one year on Limekiln Lane Pottery 1, after it had been vacated by Charles Christopher.  It is doubtful that Harrison was a potter.

HART Emma

1891 6 Apr. Edward King was brought before the magistrates charged with committing an assault on Emma Hart, a girl who had been employed at the Pottery, St Philip’s (Western Daily Press).
