EVANS Richard
| 1791 | 17 Oct. He was described as a Bristol potter when his son, John Evans II was apprenticed to John and Elizabeth Hope (A, Ao). |

EVANS Robert I
The son of Thomas Evans of Bristol, button maker (A), the father of Robert Evans II (RPR) and the father-in-law of James Bradshaw (F).

| 1722 | 13 Oct. He became a free gallypotmaker as he was the son of a freeman (F, G). |
| 1731 | 15 Mar. Mary, the daughter of Robert Evans, potter, baptised (RPR).
It has been stated that the baptism register showed Robert Evans as ‘belonging to the pot-house at St Anne’s’ (Ray 1968, 46). However, no trace of this wording could be found in the register. |
