WEEKS John I
1838 | 25 Aug. Possibly the John Weeks, a boy about 15 years old, who was charged with maliciously cutting and wounding Richard Griffith. The prosecutor stated that he was a journeyman potter at Mr White’s pottery in Redcross Street and it was his duty and that of another boy, in the same employ, to make the stove fire on alternate mornings. In an argument over the lighting of the fire, Weeks stabbed Griffith twice. He was further remanded (Bristol Mercury). |
