Born c1861 in Fenton, Staffordshire, the father of Alice Woolley (01C, 11C).

1901 His name given as James Woolley. China potters manager, 52 Park Road, Fenton (39), living with his wife Sarah (36) and children Samuel (16), Annie (14), Mabel (12), Albert (10), Alice (7), Harry (3) and John (1), all born in Fenton, Staffordshire (01C).
1911 Potter’s modeller, 24 Balaclava Road, Fishponds (50), living with his wife Sarah (46) and children Alice (17), Harry (13), John (11) and Doris (8), all born in Fenton (11C).

 

WOOSTER John

1719 In the will of Byrom Baynton, mariner, the estate was left to Jane Wooster, wife of John Wooster of Bristol, potter (BRO Will).

WOOTTON James

Born c1858 in Longton, Staffordshire (81C).

1881 33 King Street, Bedminster (23), living with his wife Joanna (24), born in St Paul’s parish, and children Florence (2) and James (8 mths), both born in Temple parish (81C).
1891 His wife was a widow living with her children James (11), Mary Ann (9) and Alfred (6), all born in Bristol (91C).

 

WORCESTER (or WORSTER) John

1727 27 Jul. He became a free potter because he married Elizabeth, the daughter of Roger Williams, deceased (F, G).
1729 30 Oct. ‘Ended … Guydon Noble agt. John Worster at the pothouse on Redcliff Backs’ (C).

1861 Potter, 5 Parr Street, Charles, Plymouth, Devon (37), living with his wife Kezia (39) and children Thomas (11), potter, Martha (9), born in Longton, and William (1), born in Plymouth (61C).
1867 7 Feb. Temple parish on the baptism of his son William.  Wife Haziah (TPR).
1871 2 Eugene Lane, Temple parish (45), living with his wife Haziah P. (46) born in Woolstanton, Staffordshire and son William (11) born in Plymouth, Devon (71C).
1879 He died in Pontypridd, Glamorgan, aged 55 (Ancestry website).
