1849 11 Apr. Pile Street, St Mary Redcliffe parish (RPR).
1851 9 Pile Street, St Mary Redcliffe parish (38), living with his wife Elizabeth (37) born in Herefordshire and children (51C).
1853 2 Oct. St Mary Redcliffe parish (TPR).
1854 26 Nov. Temple Gate (RPR).
1861 He had died and his wife had remarried to James Panish and was living with him and her daughters Elizabeth (17) and Sarah Ann(61C).

TURNER Joseph Arnold

Born c1824 in Bristol, the son of Joseph Turner I (Ao).

1839 15 May. The son of Joseph Turner, potter, he was either apprenticed to William and Constance Powell (A) or J.D. Pountney, aged 15 years (Ao).
1865 4 Feb. The Joseph Arnold Turner ‘who works at Messrs Powell’s, Temple Gate Pottery, summoned for assaulting Stephen Whittaker. Prosecutor lives at Wellington Street, a private house, and this morning defendant and three others entered and asked for a quart of beer. The servant of the house replied that they did not sell beer, upon which the defendant struck the complainant a violent blow on the eye. Prisoner said Whittaker did not keep a private house, it was a brothel … He was fined 10s and costs, or in default 14 days imprisonment’ (Bristol Times & Mirror).
