The Pottery was then taken over by Charles Price I and Joseph Read, trading as Price & Read.

TUCKER Charles

Born c1864 in Bristol, the son of William Tucker II and brother of William Tucker III (71C, 81C).

1881 Potter’s labourer, 5 Parrotts Court, Pile Street, St Mary Redcliffe parish (17), living with his brother William Tucker III (81C).

TUCKER Elizabeth

Born c1844 in Dings, St Philip’s parish (61C).

1861 6 Little Ann Street, St Philip’s parish (17), living with his mother Francis Tucker, a widow and hawker (61C).

 

TUCKER George

1840 27 Sep. Bread Street, St Philip’s parish on the baptism of his son John (aged 3 wks).  Wife Mary Ann (PPR).

TUCKER Harry

1923 16 Oct. Noted as working in the lithographic department of Pountney and Co. Ltd, the Bristol Pottery (Western Daily Press).

TUCKER Walter Henry Maurice

Born c1888 in Bristol (11C).

1911 Potter’s commercial traveller, 212 Wells Road, Knowle (23), living with his parents and siblings (11C).
1919 14 Apr. A pottery company’s traveller, he died at 212 Wells Road. Probate was granted to his widow, Elizabeth Ann Tucker. Effects valued at £207.1s (PRO National Probate Calendar (Index of Wills and Administrations) 1858-1995).
1919 21 Apr. The funeral of Maurice Tucker of 212 Wells Road, Knowle, who had been engaged for a number of years with Messrs Pountney and Co., The Bristol Pottery (Western Daily Press).

1887 19 Dec. Noted as a potter when his daughter Clara Matilda (21) of 5 Brickyard, married Charles Clarke (RPR).

TUCKETT William

1840 24 May. Orange Street, St Paul’s parish, the son of Vincent Tuckett, a mariner, he married Mary Ann Pressdee of Orange Street, the daughter of Thomas Pressdee, a gardener (PaPR).

1871 Potter (apprentice), 6 Mary le Port Buildings, Oxford Road, St Philip’s parish (14), the son of Charles, a labourer at a lead works (71C).

 

TURNER Eleanor Braithwaite

Born c1875 in Bristol (91C).

1891 Pottery assistant, 3 Osbourne Court, St Mary Redcliffe parish (91C).

 

TURNER James

1841 1 Aug. Spring Street, Bedminster, the son of Jeremiah Turner, a mariner, he married Maria Briggs of Spring Street, the daughter of George Briggs, a rope maker (JBPR).

TURNER Joseph I

Born c1791, not in Bristol, he was the father of Joseph Arnold Turner and father-in-law of John Ellis II (41C, Ao, RPR).

1839 15 May.  Noted as a potter when his son, Arnold was apprenticed to either William and Constance Powell (A) or J.D. Pountney (Ao).
1841 South Side, Pile Street, St Mary Redcliffe parish (50), living with his wife Elizabeth (48), not born in Bristol, and children (41C).
1847 29 May.  Noted as a potter when his daughter Ruth, a minor, of St Mary Redcliffe parish married John Ellis, a widower, of Temple parish, glass and china manufacturer, the son of John Ellis, a potter (RPR).
