BULLOCK Arthur John
1944 | 28 Oct. Arthur John Bullock (41) of Essen Road, St George, was fined £10 at Bristol Police Court for the theft of 12 dozen cups, valued at £4.1s.3½d from his employers. Messrs Pountney and Co. Ltd. He had worked for the firm for 24 years and was earning a wage of £5.8s.11d. He admitted the offence and said he sold the 144 cups for £1. He also admitted stealing four dozen fruit plates valued at 10s.6d and 403 dinner plates valued at £9.7s.1d (Western Daily Press). |
