WHEELER Agnes (Amelia)

Born c1841 in Temple parish, the sister of Thomas Wheeler and daughter-in-law of James Thomas II(71C).

1871 8 Little Avon Street, Temple parish (30), living with her sister Ellen (40) and her husband James Thomas (38) a potter born in London, also her son Thomas Wheeler (20), labourer at pottery, born in Temple parish (71C).
1872 27 Apr. Described as a potter at the Bristol Pottery, aged 32, she committed suicide by jumping off the Bath Bridge into the River Avon, after being injured in a fight with another woman outside the Bird in Hand pub in Temple Meads.  She was the sister of Ellen Thomas, the wife of the potter James Thomas (Bristol Mercury).
