Born c1796 in Swansea, the father of William Thomas II (51C, A).

1833 22 Oct. Noted as a potter when his son was apprenticed, aged 16 years, to J.D. Pountney (A, Ao).
1834 & 35 Temple parish (TPR).
1841 Avon Street, Temple parish (P).
1841 Avon Street, Temple parish (45) living with his wife Mary (45) not born in Bristol and children (41C).
1850 12 Mar. Noted as a potter when his daughter Margaret of St Philip’s parish married John Beacham (PPR).
1850 25 Jun. Noted as a potter when his son John Thomas, a musician, of St Philip’s parish married Mary Thomas (PPR).
1851 Potter handler, 26 Avon Street, Temple parish (56), living with his wife Mary (56) born in Swansea (61C).
1861 20 Great Avon Street, Temple parish (67), living with his wife Mary (66) (61C).
