JOHNSON Aaron I

An Aaron Johnson, son of Moses Johnson ‘at Hercules pillars in the Princes Liberty’ was baptised at St Mary, Lambeth, on 23 Mar 1701 (Edwards 1974, 79).  Moses Johnson, potter, and his family presumably moved to Bristol after 1703 (see below).

1716 2 Feb. The son of Moses Johnson of Bristol, potmaker, deceased, apprenticed to Henry and Hannah Hobbs (A, Ao, Ar).
1727 3 Aug. He became a free gallypotmaker (F, G).
1733 Lydia, the wife of Aaron Johnson of Temple parish, gallypotmaker, received £1 from John Whitson’s Charity for poor women in child bed (JW).
