Born c1811 in Bristol, the husband of Jane Hill I and father of Jane Hill II (51C, 61C).

1828 16 Jan. He was apprenticed to J.D. Pountney, aged 14 years (Ao).
1833-40 Temple parish (PPR, TPR).
1837 Church Street, Temple parish (P).
1841 Church Street, Temple parish (P).
1841 Church Street, temple parish (25), living with his wife Jane (25) born in Bristol and children (41C).
1851 He was missing from the census although his wife Jane (37), a potteress, and daughter Jane (13), also a potteress were recorded at 6 Avon Place, Temple parish (51C).
1854 24 Dec. Noted as a potter when his daughter Jane Hill (20) of Tower Hill married Edward Denman (20) potter of Queen Street (PPR).
1861 Earthenware potter, 15 Trinity Street, St Philip’s parish (50), living with his wife Jane (48) (61C).
1871 5 Crown Terrace, St Mary Redcliffe parish (59) living with his wife Jane (57) (71C).
1881 Labourer, 7 Cart Lane, Temple parish (69), living with his wife Jane (67) (81C).
