1936 | 13 Feb. Inquest on Edward Stevens [sic] Heape (69) of Balaclava Road, Fishponds. He had been suffering from asthma, bronchitis and also from the effects of silicosis, from which he died. He had been employed for 30 years as a ware maker at Messrs Pountney and Co’s pottery but had not followed his occupation since 1931. Since that time he has been receiving compensation from the firm.
