Born c1872 in St Mary Redcliffe parish, the son of George Charles Bright and the brother of Henry Bright (91C).

1891 Apprentice potter, 9 Redcliffe Mead Lane, St Mary Redcliffe parish (19), living with his parents and siblings (91C).
1901 Potter, 33 Fraser Terrace, Bedminster (29), living with his wife Mary Ann (26), born in Bristol (01C).
1911 Thrower in pottery, 26 Fraser Street, Bedminster (39), living with his wife Mary Ann (36) (11C).
1932 10 Feb. ‘At Arnos Vale Cemetery, yesterday, the funeral took place of Mr John Bright (60) of 28 Philip Street, Bedminster.  For 40 years he worked at Messrs Price and Powell’s Pottery, St Thomas Street.  At the Knowle Gates about 30 employees awaited the cortege, and Mr Charles Price and Mr Bernard represented the firm’ (Western Daily Press).
