Born c1846 in Bristol, the father of John Edmund and Joseph Henry Blake (61C, PPR, 01C).

1871 19 Unity Street, St Philip’s (25), with his wife Lydia (24) and children (71C).
1881 3 Lewis Court, Goat Alley, St Philip’s parish (35), living with his wife Lydia (33) and children (81C).
1881 12 Jun & 18 Oct. Lewis’s Court, Goat Alley, St Philip’s parish (PPR).
1883 5 David Street, St Philip’s parish (PPR).
1884 31 May  Noted as a potter when his son, John Edmund Blake (19), a painter of 55 Regent Street, St Philip’s parish married Jane Moore (HTPR).
1891 Coal haulier, 3 Bonds Court, St Paul’s parish (46), living with his wife Lydia (44) and children (91C).
