William Harding, 10 Feb 1672 (A)
James Phillips, 12 Jan 1674 (A).
In order to take apprentices in Bristol, Mathew Wilcox would have had to obtain his freedom of the city.  The only Mathew Wilcox obtaining his freedom in the sixty years prior to 1671 was one ‘Mathias Wilcockes’, a grocer, who became free on 17 February 1662 (F).  It is possible that Wilcox changed his occupation at a later date.
