1860 30 Jun. Thomas Walker, ‘a ragged, barefoot, little fellow’ was charged with stealing from the Quay. His mother said ‘he works for Mr Price at the Pottery, leastways he works for a man at the Pottery and has 3s.6d a week’. He was given one more chance (Western Daily Press).
