TURNER Joseph I

Born c1791, not in Bristol, he was the father of Joseph Arnold Turner and father-in-law of John Ellis II (41C, Ao, RPR).

1839 15 May.  Noted as a potter when his son, Arnold was apprenticed to either William and Constance Powell (A) or J.D. Pountney (Ao).
1841 South Side, Pile Street, St Mary Redcliffe parish (50), living with his wife Elizabeth (48), not born in Bristol, and children (41C).
1847 29 May.  Noted as a potter when his daughter Ruth, a minor, of St Mary Redcliffe parish married John Ellis, a widower, of Temple parish, glass and china manufacturer, the son of John Ellis, a potter (RPR).
