1363 2 Feb. Noted as a crokker (the term ‘crokker’ in documents is generally taken to refer to a potter) when he witnessed a conveyance on property in Old Market.
1374 21 Aug. Noted as a crokker when he witnessed a conveyance on property in Old Market.
1379 16 Nov. Noted as a crokker when he witnessed a conveyance on property in Old Market.
1384 12 Oct. Noted as a crokker when he witnessed a conveyance on property in Old Market.
1395 6 Sep. The will of John Roberwe notes two shops described as above the Weir, between the tenement of William Stiel, crokker, and the Rent of St Bartholomew.
1396 15 Nov. The will of William Stiel. He left property including ‘to Son John and his heirs a hall in the suburb of Bristol, in the market …  To Son William and his heirs two shops next to the aforesaid hall. To Son Thomas and his heirs two shops between the one bequeathed to William and that next to the entrance to my tenement … To Wife Alice two tenements, with shops, Ec., inhabited by testator in the market, also two shops there, built by him, next the lane as one goes to Elebrig … Three shops ‘apud le Wer iuxta Will’m Borne …’.
