The son of Christopher Slade of Bristol, hatter, and the father of Elizabeth and Mary Slade (41C, Ao).

1816 17 Feb. He was apprenticed to J.D. Pountney (Ao).
1822 New Street, St Philip’s parish (PPR).
1830-35 New Street, St Philip’s parish (P).
1832 New Street, St Philip’s parish (List of Electors BRO 04736).
1836 10 Jan. Broad Plain, St Philip’s parish (PPR).
1837-52 Crews Hole, St George (P).
1841 Crews Hole, St George (42), not born in Gloucestershire, living with his wife Mary (40) and children (41C).
1843 18 Dec. Noted as a potter when his daughter Elizabeth of St Philip’s parish married Moses Gill (PPR).
1849 28 May. Noted as a potter when his daughter Eliza of St Philip’s parish married James Cross (PPR).
1851 12 Oct. Noted as a potter when his son Thomas Slade (19) a labourer of Gloucester Building married Mary Ann James (HTPR).
