Born c1819 in Temple parish, the husband of Maria Roberts (nee Gold) and the father of John Feargus Roberts and probably the father of Richard G. Roberts (61C, PPR, 71C).

1831 5 Sep. He was apprenticed to J.D. Pountney, aged 13 years (Ao).
1841 Pennywell Lane, St Philip’s parish (20) (41C).
1841 25 Dec. Church Street, Temple parish, the son of Thomas Roberts, a labourer, he married Maria Gold, a potter of Temple parish, the daughter of John Gold, a thatcher (TPR).
1851 Journeyman potter, 4 Baptist Street, St Philip’s parish (32), living with his wife Maria (31), born in Bickleigh, Devon, and children (51C).
1861 Baptist Street, St Philip’s parish (42), living with his wife Maria (41) a mangler, born in Bickleigh, Devon, and children (61C).
1866 18 Jun. Noted as a potter when his son John Feargus Roberts (24), a potter, of Bread Street married Sarah Jane Hallard (PPR).
1871 His wife had remarried to George Rawlings (71C).
