Born c1840 in Bristol (71C) or Liverpool (81C), the brother of George Roberts I (51C).

1851 Scholar, 5 Little Avon Street, Temple parish, living with his widowed mother Eliza (37), born in Temple parish, and his brother George (51C).
1858 Avon Street, St Philip’s parish (ThPR).
1862 12 Oct. Temple parish (TPR).
1866 25 Jul. He was employed at Pountney’s Bristol Pottery when he took part in a race on the pottery’s boat ‘Marian’ in the Floating Harbour (Western Daily Press).
1871 3 Commercial Road, Temple parish (31), living with his wife Mary (27) a bag maker, born in Bristol, and daughter Emma (8), born in Bristol (71C).
1879 24 Dec. Noted as a potter when his daughter Emma (17) of St Philip’s parish married Albert John Wakefield (PPR).
1881 Potter, Bristol Pottery, 9 Temple Backs, Temple parish (41), living with his wife Mary (38), a paper bag maker and daughter Rosina (8) born in Bristol (81C).
