Born c1805 in Bristol, the son of John Riddle of Bristol, labourer (A, 41C).

1819 1 Feb. He was apprenticed to Samuel and Mary Sheppard with 40 shillings from Alderman Kitchen’s Charity (A, Ao).

1855 16 Dec. Noted as a potter when his daughter Sarah Ann Riddle (22) of Temple Backs married John Pearce (TPR).
