QUARMAN John

The son of Benjamin Quarman of Bedminster, Somerset, victualler, and the brother of Benjamin Quarman (A).

1748 25 May. He was apprenticed to Thomas II and Bathsheba Cantle. Friends to find apparel and washing (A, Ao, Ar).
1756 21 Feb. He became a free potmaker (F, G).
1757 He stood sureties of £5 for Thomas Patience, potter, and Edward Brent, potter, to keep alehouses in St Mary Redcliffe parish (AKL).
1771 25 Nov. He was described as a potter, late of Bristol, when his son, John, was apprenticed to Robert Vigor, glass maker (A).
1780 2 Sep. The freedom of ‘Benjamin Quarman, Cordwainer, son of John Quarman, Pottmaker, dec’d’ (F, G).
