1844 20 Oct. St Philip’s parish on the baptism of his son Edward Samuel (TPR).
1851 Potter turner, Marnhull Cottage, Cheltenham Road, Horfield, Gloucestershire (36), living with his wife Jane (34), born in Burslem, Staffordshire, and son Edward (6), born in Bristol (51C).
1861 Turner of pottery ware, 38 Beaumont Street, St Philip’s parish (48), living with his wife Jane (44) ‘a potters wife’, born in Burslem, Staffordshire and son Edward (15), born in Bristol (61C).
1870 22 Jan. Probably the Mr Marsh, who represented Messrs White of the Baptist Mills Pottery in a court case involving the theft of iron from the pottery (Bristol Mercury).

1871 12 Aug. ‘Died August 9 at Beaumont Street, Stapleton Road, Mr John Marsh, for 31 years, faithful servant to Messrs White, Baptist Mills Pottery, aged 58’ (Bristol Mercury).
1871 14 Aug. Probably the John Marsh buried at Holy Trinity, St Philip’s parish, aged 58 (Ancestry website).
