LEECH William I

Born c1851 in Temple parish, the brother of John Leech (61C).

1861 Whiteware potter, 4 Tower Lane, Temple parish (10), living with his parents John and Matilda Leech, coal porter, born in Rodborough, Gloucestershire, and his brother John (61C).
1865 1 Jun. ‘Yesterday evening. William Leech, aged 14 years, residing at 3 Little Tower Street, and working at Temple Gate Pottery, had his left hand drawn into a chaff cutting machine, and before it could be extricated it was very much bruised and lacerated. He was taken to the General Hospital and detained’ (Bristol Times & Mirror).
1871 Labourer (unemployed), 10 Rose Street, Temple parish (20), living with his wife Emma (19) and children Emma (2) and William (1), all born in Bristol (71C).
