JOHNSON Moses

Possibly the Moses Johnson, potter, who was recorded as working in London from 1675-1703 (Edwards 1974, 78-79).  The father of Aaron Johnson, gallypotmaker.

1716 2 Feb. He was described as a potmaker of Bristol when his son, Aaron, was apprenticed to Henry and Hannah Hobbs (A, Ao, A).
1717 4 Jan. ‘Moses Johnson, potter, convicted of profanely swearing one oath in the parish of St Augustine on the information of Abraham Newth’ (SP).
