Born c1851 in St Philip’s parish, the son of Samuel Griffiths (71C, 91C).

1851 6 Stable Yard, Baptist Mills, St Philip’s parish (3 months), living with his father Samuel Griffiths, potter, mother Esther and brothers Richard and Samuel (51C).
1871 1 Hetherington Court, Little Ann Street, St Philip’s parish (20) (71C).
1872 8 Apr. 10 Alfred Street, St Philip’s parish (21), the son of Samuel Griffiths, potter, he married Ann McCarthy (21) of 10 Alfred Street, the daughter of James McCarthy, a nailmaker (EPR).
1872 18 Aug. Alfred Street (PPR).
1877 18 Nov. 5 Elton Street, St Paul’s (PPR)
1881 Potter presser, 3 Union Place, St Philip’s parish (30), living with his wife Ann (30) a button hole worker, born in Bristol, and children (81C).
1890 29 Jun. 29 Barton Vale, St Philip’s parish (EPR).
1891 Hollow ware presser pottery, 44 Tyler Street, St Philip’s parish (40), living with his wife Ann (41), born in St Thomas’s parish, and children (91C).
1901 He is not recorded in the census but his children were living with their uncle and aunt, Edwin and Louisa Ellis, and it was probably his wife Ann, a widow, who was in the Bristol Workhouse at Stapleton (52) (01C).
