The son of Lot Evans of Bristol, shipwright, deceased (A).

1756 4 Aug. He was apprenticed to Joseph Tayor I.  Friends to find apparel and washing (A, Ao).
1768-71 Possibly the John Evans who stood surety of £5 each for Ann Powell, James Roades, John Fry, Thomas Lewis and Joseph Bettington to keep alehouses in Temple parish (AKL).
1774 4 Oct. He became a free potter (F, G).
1774 Potter, Temple parish (P).
1781 Potter, Deptford, Kent (P).
1784 Potter, Chelsea, Middlesex (P).
