The son of John Distin of Minehead, Somerset, mariner, deceased and the husband of Mary Distin (A, 41C).

1792 28 Sep. He was apprenticed to Robert Ring.  Friends to find apparel and washing (A, Ao).
1815 11 Jun. He became a free potter (F).
1815 25 Dec. Henry, son of William and Mary Distin, potter, Temple parish, baptised (TPR).
1830, 1832 & 1834 Potter, Gough’s Buildings, Temple parish (P).
1837 Potter, Hillyard’s Court, Temple parish (P).
1841 Potter, Church Lane, Temple parish (P).
1841 A potter, aged 63 years, living in Church Lane, Temple parish with his wife, Mary, and son, Henry (41C).
1851 Mary Distin was described as a widow (51C).
