Born c1815 in Sicily, British subject, probably the brother of John Bowden (51C, Ao).
The son of Thomas Bowden, a soldier in the 62nd Regiment, who was stationed in Sicily at the time of William Bowden’s birth. He left the army and lived in Oxford Street, St Philip’s Marsh (information from Bob Wright).
