LACEY Emily

Born c1861 in Bristol (81C).

1881 Potter, 7 Bread Street, St Philip’s parish (20) (81C).
1882 26 Nov. Works at the pottery, 7 Old Bread Street, St Philip’s parish on the baptism of her daughter Mary Ann (born 8 Nov 1882).  No father is given (PPR).

 

LACY William

1810 22 Jan. He was noted as a china-man when his son William was apprenticed to Thomas Burnell, an engraver (A).

LAKE George

Born c1829 in Bristol (71C).

1868 6 Sep. Temple parish on the baptism of his son George Stephen.  Wife Esther (TPR).
1871 Potters labourer, 14 Avon Street, Temple parish (42) living with his daughter Sarah (6) born in Bristol (71C).
1872 2 Nov. Described as working at a pottery and ‘a tough looking fellow’, he was charged with assaulting a woman named Mary Llewellyn with whom he cohabited, who also worked at the same pottery. He was bound over on the sum of £10 to keep the peace for six months (Bristol Mercury).

1853 20 Feb. Bedminster Causeway (24), the son of Thomas Lanning, a mason, he married Caroline Price (21) of Bedminster Causeway, the daughter of Shadrock Price, labourer (JBPR).

 

LARCOMBE Henry

1869 18 Jun. He was described as connected with a Bristol pottery warehouse when his death was announced, following the sinking of a small boat taking passengers from Watchet out to an excursion steamer, the Neath Abbey (Western Daily Press).
